The board results for the science students, who appeared from the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha, have been declared at 12:30 pm today and can be checked on the following website-‘orissaresults.nic.in’, and ‘chseodisha.nic.in.’

Since the board was not able to conduct all the scheduled examinations owing to the coronavirus menace, assigning grades and marks this year is much different. The subjects for which the Council failed to take examination and made it allow the marks based on ‘best of three policy.’

It was decided by the Council, keeping in mind the ‘reasonability’ and ‘fairness’ of evaluation and assessment, that the students who enrolled and appeared for all the three programs, would be allotted marks based on an average of their highest scores in the examination they appeared, while the students who appeared for three or lesser programs, the average of the best two marks scored by them will be considered with regards to the rules of Council.

The passing percentage witnessed a marginal drop from last year, which was 72 percent. A total of 25,339 students secured first division, while 24,121 students got second division, and 18,268 students passed with the third division.
